Plastic Safety System, Inc. Introduces "Anchor 60™" Type III Barricade Base
Plastic Safety Systems, Inc., (PSS) Cleveland OH, recently introduced the "Anchor 60™" Type III plastic barricade base, a new version of the popular Anchor® Mast Type III plastic barricade base.
PSS prominently displayed the new base at the ATSSA Traffic Conference and Expo, recently held in San Antonio, TX. PSS officially introduced the "Anchor 60™" at ATSSA's New Product Press Conference.
The "Anchor 60" is a 60" version of the 48" plastic Anchor base, used on the Anchor Mast Type III Barricade.

PSS designed the "Anchor 60" plastic base for more rugged or harsh environments, where the weather or terrain demands maximum ballast and support.
The additional length provides more stability. The additional length also provides more space for ballast, and will hold 60 lbs. of sand, for a total of 120 lbs. of internal ballast per barricade.
The "Anchor 60" retains the labor-saving features of the 48" version:
- ergonomic handle for ease of carrying
- rubber non-skid pads for increased stability
- convenient oversized sand fill hole
Blow-molded of high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, PSS manufactures the "Anchor 60" plastic base for two types of uprights:
- plastic uprights:
- blow-molded Mast upright, 60" tall.
- extruded hollow plastic upright, available in 60" or 84" tall.
- Steel uprights: 1-3/4" PSST upright.

Plastic Safety Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce a new model to the popular ANCHOR™ barricade product line. The new ANCHOR barricade model accepts a 2" x 2" upright, is made of U.V. stabilized polyethylene and features an oversized fill hole for quick and easy internal ballasting with either sand or water. Each unit also contains an ergonomic handle molded in for easy set-up and take-down.
Anchor Barricade Features:
- Innovative blow molded base design! Allows for both strength and flexibility in a cost effective barricade system!
- Simple assembly! 2" x 2" plastic or metal uprights fit into the Anchor base for easy setup and takedown!
- Sand / Water fillable! Anchor base holds up to 45lbs. of sand per side (90lbs. sand per complete barricade) or 35lbs. of water per side (70lbs. water per complete barricade).
- Protect your investment! Flush mounting hardware for attaching center boards helps protect sheeting while providing added theft deterrence.
